Implantcast GmbH is a German manufacturer, based in Buxtehude (near Hamburg), specialized in the development, construction and manufacture of endoprostheses. Founded in 1988, the company is a European leader in revision, tumor and special endoprosthetics.
Its flagship product is MUTARS® (Modular Universal Tumour And Revision System) — a modular megaprosthesis system in clinical use since 1992, developed in collaboration with the Department of General Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Oncology of the University Hospital of Münster (Prof. Dr. W. Winkelmann and Prof. Dr. G. Gosheger). The system treats major bone defects of the extremities while preserving the affected limb.
In addition to the MUTARS® tumor prostheses and revision solutions, the Implantcast portfolio also includes primary prostheses as a distinct category, for routine arthroplasties and orthopedic reconstructions.
Ronda Medical is the importer and distributor of Implantcast solutions in Romania, giving orthopedic teams access to the MUTARS® tumor prostheses, the revision solutions, the primary prostheses and the necessary technical support.
