MUTARS® Proximal Humerus
Modular megaprosthesis for the proximal humerus, with an anatomic or reverse option — in tumors of the proximal humerus.

MUTARS® Proximal Humerus reconstructs the proximal humerus following tumor resection. As an intraoperative option, the system offers both an anatomic configuration and a reverse configuration, useful in the case of rotator cuff insufficiency.
The anatomic humeral components are available in three head sizes and a slightly medialized geometry, which improves soft-tissue coverage. For the reverse variant, the reverse humeral cap, the glenoid, and the glenosphere are available. Soft-tissue reattachment is performed with the MUTARS® attachment tube, reducing the risk of dislocation.
The upper-extremity system allows proximal, distal, or total treatment of the humerus with a single universal system. The stems are fixed cemented or uncemented, and the toothed connections allow rotational adjustment in 10° steps at the upper extremity.
- Tumors in the region of the proximal humerus.
- Anatomic shoulder reconstruction or a reverse option in rotator cuff insufficiency.
Anatomic or reverse
Intraoperative choice between the anatomic and the reverse configuration.
Optimized coverage
Small head and slightly medialized geometry for better soft-tissue coverage.
Universal system
Treats the humerus proximally, distally, or totally with a single system.
Soft-tissue reattachment
MUTARS® attachment tube that reduces the risk of shoulder dislocation.
